How to Optimize Your Website For Google Adwords?

It’s important to make sure that your site or landing page is ‘Google friendly’ before you activate your campaign. Google is becoming more obsessed with the quality of landing pages and if their assessment of your landing page is poor your campaign will be penalized with a poor quality score which might be difficult to recover from.

Google are penalizing “thin” sites with very little or virtually no content. So you should aim to have at least 5-10 pages of relevant content. Ideally you should create original and keyword-rich articles that are optimized around the main keyword phrases you’re bidding on.

Each web page should have your keywords in the meta tags of your landing page and include them within your text on three or four occasions. Create separate landing pages for each set of keywords your bidding and adjust them accordingly

Create a Google xml site map to get your pages indexed more quickly. Make sure you have a contact us, about us, privacy and terms & conditions page so that when your page is scanned by Google that the Adwords system will know that they’re dealing with a ‘real’ site.

Make sure that you interlink between pages and that you also link out to relevant pages within authority websites. Google measures page loading times as well so make sure your page loads quickly.

If you apply the above suggestions you have a much better chance of getting a higher quality score which will lead to a much lower cost per click than would otherwise be the case.
